Dr. Nydia Powell, Vice President of Alabama Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ACTM), contacted me a few weeks ago about the possibility of presenting my manipulatives at their Fall Forum at Alabama State University in Montgomery on November 2nd. I plan to be a presenter at the Forum as well as an exhibitor.  Take the time to visit my exhibitor booth on Nov. 2; I’d love the opportunity to show you firsthand how my manipulatives work.

I have been invited by Ms. Renee” Mixon, Continuous Improvement Project Consultant/GLRS, to present my math manipulatives to math educators in the Southern Region of NWGA RESA. My presentation to the Northwest GA group in April was a wonderful opportunity to interact with regional special education directors and consultants as we work together to increase student achievement with our new CCGPS Standards. After such a positive meeting in April, I look forward to the November meeting!

Due to the great response I received at the Houston Assistive Technology Network Conference in June, I will be traveling back to Texas in October to share my ideas at one of the largest math conferences in the United States. The conference coincides with my fall break and also allows me to complete a series of “follow-up” visits throughout Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. I am excited about the opportunity to share with thousands of math educators!
