I talked to Patty Maze, Director of the Athens State University Regional In-Service Center in Athens, AL, about doing a demonstration for teachers and administrators on June 11th at 8:30-11:30. I am looking forward to sharing my strategies with teachers and administrators this summer.

I appreciate the interest from of all of the regional in-service directors in Alabama. This is going to be a great summer for professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators and a fantastic 2020-21 school year for students because they will be able to use new strategies with their students.

I have been in correspondence with The Florida Council for Exceptional Children and Mississippi Council for Exception Children regarding the possibility of sharing my strategies at their 2020 conferences. Please follow the “Latest News” for updated information.

I originally panned on sharing my strategies at the JSU Region In-Service Center on June 11th. Due to a scheduling conflict, my demonstration date has been change to July 9th. See you this summer!

I just accepted an invitation from Eric Lee, Director of the Jacksonville state University Regional In-Service Center, to share my math strategies at the Jacksonville State University Regional In-Service Center in Jacksonville, AL. I am excited to share my math strategies with teachers and administrators as well as return to where I earned my bachelor and master’s degrees.

Because of the versatility of my math strategies, I am going to do a morning session (8:30-11:30) for regular and special education teachers and an afternoon session (12:30-3:30) for teachers of the visually impaired.

I hope to see you at one of my sessions!

I contacted Dr. Boyd Rogan, Director of the University of Alabama Regional In-service Center, after my session at the 2019 Learning Alabama Forward Conference on November 21st. Because of the feedback from his colleagues at the conference, he invited me to do a demonstration on June 10th.

At this time, I will be sharing my strategies at four of the regional education in-service centers in June 2020. I am waiting for two centers to confirm a date and time this summer.

I accepted an invitation from Tammy Wynn, Assistant Director for Professional Development, to share my strategies on June 8th at 8:30-11:30. I enjoyed meeting her at the 2019 Learning forward Alabama Conference on November 21st, and I am looking forward to sharing my strategies with her colleagues at her In-Service Center in Florence, AL this summer.
