After my 2015 Tennessee CEC Conference demonstration, Julie Crowe, Exceptional Education Consultant for Metro Nashville Public Schools, invited me to share my teaching strategies with her teachers on November 23rd at 2:30. I am looking forward to meeting her teachers and the opportunity to help her students!

My demonstration at the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville has changed from 8:00 on October 22nd to 9:00. I hope to see everyone there!
I received a quick response from Kenny Jones, Kentucky School for the Blind’s Center Based Outreach Consultant. I have accepted an invitation to share my teaching strategies at the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville, KY at 8:00-9:00 on October 22nd. I appreciate his help forwarding my teaching strategies to KSB’s math teachers and administrators.
After my demonstration at 9:45 at the 2015 Tennessee Council for Exceptional Children’s Conference on October 23rd in Nashville. I am going to drive across town to meet with TVI and assistive technology specialists at my 2:30 session at the 2015 Tennessee Statewide VI Conference at the Tennessee School for the Blind. I am going to share my teaching strategies at two state conferences in one day.
Elaine Brown, Director of Outreach Services at the Tennessee School for the Blind, called and invited me to share my teaching strategies at two additional sessions on Saturday, October 24th. The purpose of my demonstrations at conferences is to provide strategies for teachers to help to ease the pain of having to teach rigorous math standards. If I can help at least one student while I am in Nashville, my time will definitely be worth it!
After my demonstration at the Savannah Center for the Blind and Low Vision at 10:00, I am going to travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina to meet with Sue Marroney, Co-Supervisor of the Visually Impaired Program in Beaufort County Schools, at Hilton Head High School at 2:00. Because my manipulatives can be used by ALL students. I have encouraged her to invite some of her colleagues who specialize in other disabilities to attend.
I received an email from Ron Brown, State President of the National Federation of the Blind of Indiana. Mr. Brown informed me that he and some his colleagues are going to attend my demonstration at Easter Seals in Indianapolis on October 22nd at 1:00. He also offered to put my information on Indiana’s list serve.
I talked to Elaine Byron, Director of Services at the Savannah Center for Blind and Low Vision, in Savannah, Georgia. I did a phone demonstration with her by solving math problems with the manipulatives’ images on my website. We also discussed some of the articles on my website. Then, I mentioned to her that my fall break is September 28- October 2 and offered to visit her center on September 28th at 10:00. She stated that she and her colleagues would be able to attend my demonstration.
Tom McFadden, National Executive Director of the Canadian Deafblind Association, requested permission to print my article in CDBA’s Intervention magazine that was originally published in the Fall 2014 National Federation of the Blind’s Future Reflections magazine. This will be the second article that I have had published in Intervention magazine; my first article was published in the Fall 2014 Intervention magazine,

I was notified by Clinton Smith, President of the Tennessee Council for Exceptional Children, that my proposal to present was accepted! My session will be on October 23rd and 9:45.
Over the past two years, I have done sessions for the Illinois CEC, Kentucky CEC, Alabama CEC, and Georgia CEC. Thanks for your help CEC!
I emailed the link to my recent CEC article to Deafblind International in Australia. Deafblind International in Australia referred me to one of their colleagues, Stan Munroe, in Canada.
I sent him the CEC article as well as some other information about my low vision and braille manipulatives. Mr. Munroe offered to share my article in their upcoming 2016 Deafblind International Review; the article will be published in January 2016.
With Mr. Munroe’s help as well as from other administrators, teachers, and parents, the idea that came to me while I was walking down the same hallway I have done 1,000,000 times has turned into reality is on the verge of becoming a dream come true….. the opportunity of helping students all of the world from Rome, Georgia. It does not get much better than that!
