The target date for my STEM article is August 20th. The article is about the Cornhole game that my students built during the 2024-25 school year. After it is published, the link to the article will be posted on www.slidearoundmath.com.
I would like to thank Kathy Dunn, Director of Professional Learning, State and Federal Programs, of Cooperative Council of School Administration. I appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants in my two sessions at the 2025 Cooperative Council of School Administration Conference in Oklahoma City on June 11th. Based on the feedback that I received, I hope to return next year!
The 2025 Making Schools Work Conference in New Orleans on July 17th was very worthwhile. The participants in my two sessions were very engaged and asked a lot of high- level questions. I encouraged the participants to share my instructional strategies with their colleagues and schedule virtual workshop during the 2025-26 school year.
I would like to thank Trisha Marsh for inviting me to Region 9 ESC’s conference on June 17th. The participants were very excited about my math strategies. They were also willing to share the strategies that were shared with their colleagues after they return for the 2025-26 school year. I hope to return to Region 9 ESC during the 2025-26 school year.
I would like to thank Brenda Lee, TVI Specialist, for the three- hour workshop at Region 14 ESC in Abilene, TX, on July 16th. The participants were engaged for the third consecutive year. I hope to return to Region 14 ESC during the 2025-26 school year. Stay tuned!
I appreciated Region 16 ESC’s specialists for the two sessions at their conference in Amarillo, TX. One session involved my math strategies. The other session was about the STEM projects that I designed and built with my students. I hope to help teachers teach students in that region of Texas.
I met with Marie Martinez, SpEd Coordinator/Diagnostician, at Las Vegas City Schools, NM on July 15th. I really appreciate her willingness to meet with me, especially since it was her first day in a new position. She was very receptive to my instructional strategies and was willing to share them with her teachers after they return for the 2025-26 school year.
I met with Eddie King, Sp. Ed. Director at West Las Vegas, NM Schools. Mr. King was very excited about the 2025-26 school year and expressed interest in my math and STEM strategies. He stated that he would share them with his teachers after they return for the 2025-26 school year.
